Stewardship
Support St. John’s legacy. Your donation ensures 100 more years of Orthodoxy in Omaha. Be a steward.
What does it mean to be a steward?
A steward of the church is one who offers his or her time, talent, and treasures for the benefit of the Church. We give to the Church because God has given to us.
How much should I give to the church?
We ask you to prayerfully consider your financial commitment to the church. Stewardship is an expression of gratitude to God for that in which He has blessed us. “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you” (Deuteronomy 16:17). When deciding what to pledge for the year, also consider that it costs roughly $900 per day to maintain the operations of our St. John’s parish.
How shall I pay my stewardship pledge?
You may remit your pledge online by clicking the “donate now” button above. This will allow you to make one-time gifts or to set up recurring giving. You may also give with cash or checks made out to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church with “Stewardship” on the memo line. These can be sent to the church office or can be dropped off in the basket in the narthex. Please make sure your gift is marked with your name on it and designated as stewardship.
What if I can't fulfill my pledge?
We understand that circumstances change and you may not be able to fulfill your pledge. Whatever you are able to give is valued by God and the Church. Please contact the Church Office or Fr. Peter to let us know how we may be of assistance or to adjust your pledge.
